  1. Journey into the known yet unknown universe of ying and yang, movement and stillness, subtle yet exciting and quiet before the flurry of swirling colors and curious textures. This is where I go way before I touch a canvas or cloth. I’ve envisioned a hue or form way before ever touching what I believe is never a truly blank canvas. The first kiss of paint to canvas is the most important for me,

My mostly abstract paintings come to life as the colors, feelings, shapes, sounds and movements emerge. The abstracts always give me a story to tell! I see Art everywhere, a twisted blade of green grass, a stone shaped like the continent of Africa, or a not quite turquoise shaded skirt on a dancer.

I feel, that my art moves in a slow expanding and contracting movement, light breathing.. Sometimes we think about the breath (panic, anger, meditation) and other times it just happens quite naturally (sleeping, talking). Sometimes I paint with passion, joy or excitement and sometimes subtlety, strategically and calmly. I also feel that what I create is always evolving much like the universe so if you see something that I just created , chances are I won’t be producing the same style in six months with the exception of one thing, there will always be gold somewhere on the canvas

My heart’s desire is for the audience to enjoy what I’ve created and also to spark thoughts, questions and conversations about the stories the art invokes.
