I began making jewelry fourteen years
ago. I learned different techniques
with wire: wire wrapping, crocheting with silver and gold wire, sculpting with
wire and fine needle and thread work in different Peyote styles. I love the texture and quality of
stones. I have a good eye for mixing
colors, shapes and forms, and use high quality semi-precious stones, pearls,
Murano glass, Swarovski crystals, sterling silver, vermeil, gold filled beads
and clasps. When my husband and I
travel, I purchase unique, high quality stones, glass and accents from
specialty stores in the United States, as well as shops in France, Italy, Greece and Spain. I
particularly enjoy the beauty of Murano glass and frequently incorporate it
into my jewelry designs. The fresh water
pearls I use are of high quality and come from the Far East. My pieces are inspired by art from different
cultures and time periods. Some are
traditional and look like they could come from Egyptian, Byzantine or Asian art
while others have a more contemporary flair.
All of my pieces are museum quality art jewelry and unique. I never make 2 of the same pieces since
jewelry is a statement of one’s individuality and should reflect that
individuality when worn.
Often, I am stopped by people asking
me where I bought a necklace, bracelet or earrings I am wearing. When I reply I made them, I am asked if I
would sell the item to them since they find it to be so unique. I also design jewelry upon request and have

Often, I am stopped by people asking
me where I bought a necklace, bracelet or earrings I am wearing. When I reply I made them, I am asked if I
would sell the item to them since they find it to be so unique. I also design jewelry upon request and have
made many commissioned pieces. I can
take a former piece of jewelry and redesign to make it more striking and suit
the owner’s taste. For the past 7 years,
I have exhibited my one-of-a-kind museum quality jewelry at the Cacace Fine Art
Gallery in Artists Alley, Delray Beach on the first Friday of each month. I also have pieces in the gift shops of the
Cornell Museum in Delray Beach and the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County on
Lake Avenue in Lake Worth. I have sold
some of my designs to people at private house parties in New York City, Delray
Beach, Palm Beach, Chapel Hill North Carolina and Santa Fe, New Mexico.
In addition, I teach jewelry making
classes on stringing beads at Sinai Residences in Boca Raton, Florida and other
Palm Beach County communities. I enjoy
working with students to create necklaces and bracelets or repurpose some of
their own pieces that they no longer wear.
I am impassioned about my jewelry making and creating things of beauty
for people to enjoy. Each piece of my
jewelry is a unique, one of a kind creation, hand made by me and the expression
of my own imagination and ideas.
