Amy Shaw is a Lake Worth Beach, Florida–based interdisciplinary artist working in mixed media, painting, collage, sculpture, installation, and participatory art. Her work explores systems, translation, memory, recurrence, and transformation, investigating how information, meaning, and identity persist as they move between forms.

Through symbolic figures, vessel-like forms, found imagery, text, and evolving narratives, Shaw examines the relationship between individuals and the social, cultural, technological, and organizational systems that shape them. Her work is informed by systems thinking, visual storytelling, philosophy, community engagement, and an ongoing interest in how patterns survive change while continually transforming into something new.

Shaw has exhibited through Palm Beach County Open Studios and at community venues including The Hatch. She studied with the late artist Rosemary Otto and is the founder of Just Add Creative (www.justaddcreative.org), a nonprofit arts organization founded in 2024 that has distributed more than 10,000 free art kits through partnerships with community organizations and underserved populations throughout the region.
