Angelo Caruso is an interdisciplinary artist based in Miami, Florida. He works across a diverse range of media, from print to technology-driven art. His practice includes tactile and multisensory works, interactive software and installations, digital art, and music. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Florida State University, but is largely self-taught as an artist.

Caruso has exhibited at galleries and institutions across South Florida, including Locust Projects, the Coral Springs Museum of Art, Ritter Art Gallery, and 1310 Gallery, and ARTxTS Gallery. His work has been featured in Exile Project’s Zine Machines, Performance in Flux’s Digital Flux activation at Immerse Fest, and Open Signal: Video Art in Flux at Luminaria Festival. He was also a semi-finalist for the 2024 Creative Capital Award.

My practice is a search for new ways to understand and perceive the world. I use electronics, code, 3D printing, and music to create pieces that defy categorization. A tactile sculpture captures an entire thirteen minute audiovisual artwork with 3D printed bioplastic. A pedestal uses air to create an invisible art piece that can only be felt. Music dances across your fingers as an artwork touches you in rhythm with Bach.

Technology is the key that lets me push the boundaries that exist in every sphere. I use my work to explore the edges of what art can be.
