Arlene Hernandez

Hello, my name is Arlene Dynasty Hernandez born and raised in NYC and moved to Palm Beach summer of 2022. I have always been surrounded by talented family members, specifically my dad and from as far as I can remember I have been creating. It was not always painting…I would sketch with a pencil majority of the time. I also never went to school for art unless it was an art class in elementary school. It was during quarantine while I was still in high school that I taught myself how to paint. I was bored and at home and I had tried painting before but I never seem to got the hang of it. Until one day I wanted to created something for my friend. I pulled an all nighter to get that painting finished and when I did I was extremely proud of myself. That was back in 2020.

Now a little over 5 years later I can say that is the best thing I have done. I still create to this day and I would describe my style as black and white realism. With each canvas I start I don’t think about the end I enjoy the process it’s a time for me to escape and learn when I am painting since I am self taught I am always learning and making my own techniques. I love the evolution of my art and the growth that you can see within each piece I create.
