Astrid Mora

Astrid Mora is a Colombian artist that works with different mediums. Astrid holds a Bachelor degree in Art History from National University of Colombia and a Fine Art certification. She also, got a Masters Degree in Art History at the Basque Country University, Spain. She took art classes at Palm Beach State College to get her Art Certification and in 2007 she was honored to receive the ‘Academic Excellence Award in Painting’ from PBSC.

Astrid resides in Palm Beach Gardens, Fl. and work as an art teacher. She is part of the open studio at ZES at Palm Beach Gardens. Astrid has exhibited her artwork in different venues nationally and internationally.

Her paintings show her passion for life and look for balance between nature and human being. Over the years, she has explored many mediums —painting in oils and watercolors, using acrylic, shooting fine art nature photographs, even creating expressionistic artwork that incorporates mixed mediums. Her art captures flora and fauna in danger in our planet and shows how human beings relate to our world. Her travels have become an infinite source of inspiration and reflect the influence of nature on the human mind. She works with realistic and dynamic figures, using natural and voluptuous colors, organic forms and earth tones that are the deep expression of her vitality, mood as much as her culture.
