Dudali is feigned Simplicity.
My artistic work consists of expressing myself through the humanoid character that I created, Dudali.
Dudali captures the finest human interactions and feelings while inspiring viewers of all ages to join in the conversation. Made of simple pipes and connectors, the challenge of my creations lies in conveying my views of society through the most eloquent yet basic stick figure that is Dudali. Dudali illustrates the complexity of our thoughts and actions through body language. As eloquent as speech, body language is universal and intuitive; it ignores knowledge and transcends verbal communication. My in situ sculptures aim to transpose my study of people’s behavior taking into account their physical as well as psychological characteristics within the space they occupy. My public installations are part of the present context, enriching the place by becoming significant for the observers who inevitably reflect themselves in them, even going so far as to draw inspiration from them.
As a seasoned artist, my desire to create Dudali installations is driven by my curiosity to explore new places, new people and take on new conceptual challenges as I believe that a true artist is one who systematically seeks novelty within his own uniqueness.
