As
photographers, we are often referred to as masters of light. Light however is
not the only element mastered. Mastery of other elements including lines,
color, patterns, textures, subject matter, stories, and perspective is also an
integral part of creating an image. Then once these parts are assembled, the
key is addition of imagination making the image creative and interesting.
Explode the color; remove color leaving black and white; distort lines,
patterns, and perspective; and add texture are actions I like to employ.
Stability can be repetitive and boring.
Once one
understands that images are comprised of different elements assembled to create
interest and reaction, subject matter is not limited. Landscapes, alternate
reality, people etc. can all be subjects. Accordingly, style need not be restricted, and can
encompass a variety of images.
The
diversity has earned awards including Best of Shows in local and international
competitions Images have also earned recognition from publications such as
National Geographic and Digital Photo Pro.
As
background for this diversity, I have lived in six different countries
including Brazil, Belgium, Italy, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. I currently
reside in Jupiter, Fl. offering a variety of photo services including weddings,
events, portraits and photo restorations
