Cosimo Scianna

Like others in this world, I view all things that exist around me through a unique perspective that has been colored by my experiences and those people and events that have touched me on life’s journey.

Throughout my career, I have been best known for a strong sense of design, bold style and striking portraiture, evolving from graphic designer and illustrator to conceptual photographer and commercial director/cameraman. I have also been an instructor at the School of Visual Arts and have lectured throughout the US, Canada and Europe and have been widely published.

I am proud of the many awards I have garnered for my photography and commercial filmmaking and of my memberships in The American Society of Media Photographers, Society of Illustrators, Directors Guild of America, IATSE Local 600 (Cameramen’s Guild).

I am now enjoying the challenges of and passion for fine art photography as well as the delight of owning ArtNEST Studios with my very talented daughter, Stephanie, having two locations: Delray Beach and Boca Raton, Florida. It was established to nurture creativity in children ages 12 months to 12 years.

Albert Einstein’s voice moves me the most. His power of observation, ability to fantasize and his spirituality give validity to my own way of thinking.

“The gift of fantasy has meant more to me than the ability to absorb positive knowledge.”

– Albert Einstein
