I’m curious about the complex nature of our lives and our difficulty making wise decisions. My paintings reflect this complexity in the denseness and variety of the paintings’ imagery. Religious iconography inspired the use of gold leaf symbolizing the belief that no matter how complicated our lives may become, redemption may be possible.
I am a medical school (Washington University) and school of public health (Johns Hopkins) graduate and completed my academic career as the director of a master of public health degree program (University at Buffalo). Art was my passion as a youngster and I returned to art in the late 1990’s.
I have exhibited at multiple venues in New York state plus with the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County, 621 Gallery in Tallahassee, University of Wisconsin Madison, University of Minnesota Morris and Cabrini College in Radnor, Pennsylvania.
I was fortunate to place second in the Artist’s Magazine’s 2020 annual international art competition in the Abstract/Experimental category.
I have been a member and supporter of the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County since 2008.
