Evan Bobo

Evan Bobo’s practice is built on a single conviction: art’s deepest purpose is to foster human connection. Uniting architecture, sensory exploration, and community-building, his site-specific installations transform overlooked environments & materials into catalysts for social interaction. These works create spaces of refuge, wonder, and introspection — where the viewer becomes a collaborator in a shared, tactile experience.

Born in Tampa to a Syrian-American family, Bobo’s perspective was formed by Florida’s coastal culture as he grew up sketching at the beach and on water. His graduate years at the University of Miami were ones of deep immersion — in the city, its communities, and the architectural ideas and connections that continue to drive his work.

Bobo’s artwork has been exhibited at The Moore (2018) and Collins Park (2024) during Miami Art Week. In 2025, he was selected as a Featured Honoraria Artist for Electric Forest, creating a monumental teleidoscope for over 50,000 attendees. Bobo was awarded a 2022 Research & Innovation MicroGrant for his research on meditative urban density.

His work moves between the expansive and the intimate — from large-scale outdoor installations to scent-infused sculptures exhibited in the Design District. He is based in Boca Raton, Florida.
