Frederick Croen

I love making pictures. I enjoy photographing landscapes, architecture, cityscapes, and people. In short, whatever catches my eye. I am entirely self-taught. I concentrate on light, color, line and figure. Ansel Adams said “my negative is the score, and the print is the performance.” He spent serious time in the darkroom tweaking his photos until they presented themselves in the best possible way, as he saw the images in his mind’s eye. I like to adjust my images in a similar fashion, using modern tools like Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. I welcome commissions to create new work, and am very willing to support nonprofits engaged in work to improve the world. Pictures from my solo exhibition at the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County may be viewed here. My website Frederick Croen Photography alsodisplays samples of my work.
