JEN FISHER is a mixed media artist with an interior design background currently residing in Boca Raton, Florida. During her years as a designer in New York City, she worked on various commercial design projects for prominent architectural firms. Transitioning to the academic world, she then became an Academic and Career Advisor at the New York School of Interior Design. Jen’s desire to create small took her artistic career down a new path: jewelry design and teaching art. She created her own architecturally inspired jewelry line and began painting while teaching and experimenting with new materials. Jen currently enjoys working on custom house/building portraits, urban sketching, exhibiting, and teaching perspective drawing and city sketching, privately and at the Boca Raton Museum Art School. Her recent 2020 pandemic drawings have become part of the archives at the William & Mary Libraries Special Collections Research Center of personal experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic and are the subject of her new book, Dear Diary: A Pictorial Essay of Life During the COVID-19 Pandemic.
