Jen O'Brien

As Executive Director of Resource Depot for nearly 15 years, she has helped shape one of Florida’s leading creative reuse and environmental education organizations while continuing to exhibit her artwork throughout Florida. With a degree in Art Education and a lifelong passion for repurposing discarded materials, Jen O’Brien’s professional work is deeply intertwined with her artistic practice.

Her mixed media and collage work examines the stereotypes and iconography woven through popular and political culture. Using found imagery and repurposed materials, she creates unexpected pairings that build visual tension, question cultural assumptions, and invite viewers to see familiar subjects through a different lens.
