John Cutrone is one of the proprietors of Convivio Bookworks, a book arts studio that was founded in 1995 at Penland, North Carolina, and located since the turn of the century in Lake Worth. He is the creator of the Convivio Book of Days (a literary lifestyle and food blog focused on seasonal traditions) and the Convivio Dispatch, a creative nonfiction version of life in Lake Worth that is sent out to email subscribers on an occasional basis.

The Convivio Book of Days blog was key in seeing Convivio Bookworks transition into a mail order and webshop that sells authentic artisan goods and specialty foods from around the globe, especially as they pertain to seasonal traditions and the wheel of the year. In 2024, the shop evolved from a home based business and is now located in one of Lake Worth’s warehouse districts at 1110 North G Street, across from the Florida East Coast / Brightline Railway tracks. The shop is open on Saturdays from 11 AM to 4 PM and by appointment and for special events for shopping and for instructional workshops in the book arts and other creative topics.
