I was born in southeastern Asia and emigrated to the US as a very eager artistic youngster. My family were European and some lived through the horrors of WWII. My early art reflected that. It was quite dark and over the years I’ve destroyed most of it. Studying art in University gave me a new outlook. I turned to color, lots of it! I also began experimenting with assorted mediums and my signature seems to be texture (whether just a touch of it or extreme coverage. I developed a mantra, “art is the silent language that speaks to the soul”. Regardless of subject matter, the work should touch you; make you feel; make you connect!
