Katrina, an emerging, Contemporary, Abstract Expressionist artist. Her primary medium is acrylics on many surfaces. Creativity and Freedom of expression was honed as a little girl with dance- her first love.
Born and raised in a beautiful area called the Jersey Shore she credits
“coastal living” and a curious mind as the key elements influencing
her work and life. Katrina believes that when you tap into the pure energy, one
can find balance, joy, love, peace, and harmony regardless of the exterior
chaos in the world. The exquisite beauty all around inspires her use of acrylic paint in bold
colors. Her rhythmic movement, emotional energy, geometric shapes and complex
textures all dance across the canvas. Your imagination is
ignited. Her predominant series is called the “Fairy Lands” where images
of fish, birds, humans and many other shapes just appear. It is a visual feast
for the senses of all ages. Her playful and
engaging mixed media collage work consists of acrylic paint, charcoal, papers
and repurposed assorted household items. A wearable
Abstract necklace line is made of acrylic paint on metal
pendants. They are one of a kind, hand painted colorful designs for
everyone. Katrina’s paint blotters from recycled food boxes morph into a card line. Katrina recently moved back to Delray Beach, FL after a
hiatus in beautiful Carmel by the Sea, CA where she honed her style and managed Patricia Qualls galleries for 6 years using her creative skills in
curating, managing, organizing, producing and connecting.
