Kiskadee

Blessed with a unique, powerful, unorthodox and flawless voice, soulstress and pianist Kiskadee stuns her audiences wherever she performs singing in English and French. Born in England into a musical family, Kiskadee’s late father was one of the founding pioneers of the steel drum instrument in Trinidad, and her Guyanese mother studied violin and viola at the famed Royal Academy of Music in London.Kiskadee’s classical training began when she started playing the piano at age two. By five, she was developing the fabulous voice that characterized her ten years on stage as the lead singer in the successful Rainbow Steel Band, with whom she toured many countries in Europe.

Kiskadee has travelled widely with her music and inspiring presentations. Whilst residing in Britain she continued with highly successful live performances in clubs such as the legendary Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London, as well as London’s O2 Arena and the Royal Festival Hall. Kiskadee also performed for visiting Heads of State, the BBC, international radio and television shows. In 2005 she recorded backing vocals for the late Michael Jackson as well as coproducing his Hurricane Katrina Project.
