I am a Toronto painter and member artist of Gallery 1313. I now live and work part-time in Palm Beach County. My career includes solo and group exhibitions in Toronto and Ottawa, a major commission for Osgoode Hall Law School, participation in the 2009 Bravo TV series, Star Portraits, and selection as a finalist in the 2005 Kingston Portrait Prize Competition. My work is included in private and public collections in Canada and the United States.
My practice encompasses a wide variety of subjects, including landscape, portraiture, and genre painting. One of my recent solo exhibitions, “Transitions: From Dark to Light”, reflects my personal transition as I come to terms with loss and learn to embrace happiness and beauty once more. This transition is mirrored by the experiences of so many during Covid who are struggling to emerge from fear and isolation, daring to hope for a return to the brightness of a world we once knew.
