After a comprehensive educational background in the visual arts, Marilyn’s college career included the study of Fine Arts at the University of Miami and Architecture at Miami Dade College. Her education continued with Millard Wells, AWS, working with him for many years while developing herself as a plein air watercolor artist.
At the same time, she enjoyed a 25 year career as an architectural artist, painting renderings and building scale models for designers and architects in the area of building construction and displays for courtroom presentation. Watercolor was her preferred medium for the renderings and the architectural influence is still very apparent in her present work.
Marilyn has devoted herself to creating in watercolor, experimenting with some “experimental” techniques that have opened her style to include a more abstract perspective while still maintaining the integrity of the pure watercolor process. She was invited to present this technique as a featured article in International Artist Magazine, Issue 91.
She is a Signature Member of National Watercolor Society, Florida Watercolor Society, Miami Watercolor Society, Plein Air Palm Beach, Palm Beach Watercolor Society, Women in the Visual Arts and has received multiple awards and recognitions.
