Of African, Indigenous Boriken Taino (Puerto Rico), and Spaniard ancestry, my work is grounded by the colors and diversity of my rich ancestry; driven by an enduring desire to elevate the unique and irreplicable beauty and wisdom of our world. It is my aim to share my heritage and world passion through Wearable Art focused on Earth’s fossil gems such as Ammonites, Amber, Petrified Wood, and others, as well as Nature gems like Corals and Seashells – particularly Florida’s. Each of my work(s) is uniquely one-of-a-kind, individually designed and hand-made.

Emeritus Professor at Florida Atlantic University, I retired in 2013. I hold a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction focused on multiethnic and multiracial identity development from University of Denver (DU) College of Education, M.A. and M.Ed. in Human Development and Guidance from Columbia University Teachers College, and B.S. in Life and Soil Sciences from Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
