Michelle Sherman is an artist, author and art instructor in South Florida. She lives in Boca Raton with her husband, two children and their cat.
Her work has been shown in the Cornell Art Museum and the Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRiC). She studied art seriously from an early age at the Dreyfoos School of the Arts in WPB, and at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (one year). She loves working with kids and teaching – she earned her M.A. in Art Education from the University of Florida and has been teaching art for over 15 years.
Her newer paintings explore the space where thought, memory, and emotion take shape — the hidden terrain of the mind.
Using the skull and brain as recurring symbols, she traces how consciousness moves through the body: how light, pattern, and color express what we can’t see but constantly feel.
