I have two journeys in art. The first is photography. When phones began having cameras, is started snapping pictures. I was gifted a Nikon camera and on my trip to Morocco, I started my photography career. My photos tend to up close details that most people miss in their daily lives. Peeling paint, a shadow, a geometric shape is what interests me. My photography has been juried into multiple shows, received awards and even published. For the holiday in late 2022, I asked for an experience instead of things. That started my ceramics art love. I was gifted a class at the Armory Art Center. I started in January 23 and am still going. I do hand-built pieces using pinch pots, slab and coil construction. I don’t remember when I started doing totems. I find them soothing and unique. They really stand out when I put them in a garden.
