”I am Renata Rodrigues and my main inspiration is nature. Everything that is alive and breathing. As a child, I lived by a piece of Atlantic forest and I had many pets. They made me feel like I am part of this universe, giving me a sense of belonging. There was an early interest in art, specially illustrations of animals. The bond between us is something that has always fascinated me and it always will. 

My method of painting consists in the use of diluted acrylics, transforming colors as I layer transparencies, using delicate glazes to create depth and luminosity, taking my time as every stroke counts and comes together, telling stories, portraying emotions and bringing me into a meditative space where my mind finds rest. “
