I am a self-taught, contemporary,
metal sculptor. My experience stems from 27 plus years in creating
sculpture for distinct locations. I accept commission work, and have designed, created, and
installed numerous site specific sculptures for various clientele and
organizations in both private settings and public art venues. I have
participated in several cities’ temporary public art sculpture
exhibitions in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. All of my work is
personally conceived, designed, fabricated, and finished. My work represents a diversity of art from the abstract to the figurative. The materials
and finishes I employ have proven their longevity over the years
requiring little to no maintenance.
Prior to sculpting full-time
I worked in the construction field 17 years which included 5 years
teaching in the construction trades at a Vocational High School. This
background and prior experience carried over into my creating art which
enables me to express in a freer form that has balance, structure and
strength. I feel my work reflects the varied emotions we all experience
from exhilaration to introspection and produces an inherent diversity of
the human spirit that incites this spirit to another level. My work
provides a positive escape not just for the artist but also for the
viewer creating a personal connection or interaction with the piece.
