Roehl Acosta

His work is distinguishable by its geometric forms on all platforms, be it paintings, mixed media or sculptures. He learned painting and took art lessons throughout his primary and secondary education but was also exposed to the custom automotive culture at an early age that captivated his imagination which will eventually merge in his works. During that time, he learned welding, metal working and custom painting that gave him more options to advance his art further.

Pursuing Fine Arts in college, majoring in Industrial Design took his work a complete 360 degree turn and his works started showing geometric forms.

Infinitely interested in new materials and design processes that is not usually considered the norm. His background as an industrial designer has provided him with knowledge and access not commonly found in sculptures.His sculptures became separate entities while retaining a strong connection with his mixed media and paintings.

Since migrating to the USA in 2012, he has already garnered his share of best in shows and awards at the Art of Associations at the Lighthouse Center for the Arts and The Armory just to mention a few.
