Permanent exhibition with “Les Ateliers de NGor” Senegal West Africa. Curator Gaston Madeira (2008 to present)
The New Times journal of Broward stated in the”Cross Currents” Exibition of 2002
“There is a lot of going one in “Gone with the wind” and the “Tribe”, two mixed media by Lucien Leconte. The latter in particular probably the exhibition’s strongest work is a tantalizing mélange of elongated figures, rune- like markings, and crumbled strips of some sort of metallic substance, all set in a looming archway and accented here and there by crudely applied swatch’s of orange and dramatic teal squiggle”
Artist statement
“I never know what to paint on the white canvas. It comes out by itself spontaneously. When it’s done everything seems at its place. The idea is that everyone express his or her own interpretation through the image. My belief is that everyone of us is related to the same umbilical cord leading us to the beginning of time”
