Scott Joshua Dere has been using a camera since the age of 7 years old, beginning his career using film cameras. At just 13 years old, he landed his first photography job as an assistant for a local wedding studio. For the next 15 years, Scott worked with several local professional photography studios and found different techniques of lighting, posing and visualizing subjects along the way. During this time Scott attended The School of Visual Arts in Manhattan achieving a BFA in the Fine Art of Photography in 2001. Since then Scott Dere went work and opened up a Long Island, New York Studio of his own called Art Photographers. The studio was responsible thousands of weddings, parties, functions and events including a fully equipped studio for fine art portraiture, product photography and more for clients spread across the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut areas every year. In 2015 Scott achieved a Masters of Photography Medal from the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and in 2018 a medal for Master Craftsman of Photography followed.
After an amazing career in New York Photographing the City, Airshows, and Events of all types, Scott Joshua Dere has moved his Studio here in the Palm Beaches. His Gallery in Lake Worth Beach displays large format Wildlife scenes from around the world! Scott wrote a sold out book on Photographing Birds of Prey and Green Peace uses his photography for their own publishing as well. Scott has worked for Canon CPS, SIGMA Corporation, and for Olympus which has used Scott’s input to help design a whole new Camera system for Birding and Sports Photography used throughout their entire lineup of cameras.
