Capturing moments with my camera is a
passion for me, something I’ve been doing for over 40 years. My photos
were always just for me, to remember beautiful moments in time. It wasn’t until
family and friends began encouraging me to share them with others, that I began
my journey with opening my heart to the world. It is still completely surreal to
me that any of my pictures are hanging on the walls of strangers. But if they
saw something in a photo that I see, a moment of beauty worth remembering, then
they are not strangers…but kindred spirits. And through the years, I feel so
blessed to have had my work sell in galleries, be in shows, and win
competitions. *** When I was 14, my parents dragged my
brother, sister and I kicking and screaming from NY to South Florida. It’s
where I’ve lived my life, but my love of the cold, mountains, and meeting new
people and experiencing new cultures have led me to travel the world many
times, capturing those adventures with my camera. The photos are my diary of
sorts, my soul, what is in my heart. What I have found moving and worth
remembering. *** Deeply spiritual, my love of the
outdoors has led me on a journey of discovery and I hope to continue that
journey of learning, laughing, and loving for as long as I can. I have also
been writing and drawing since I was very young, and have been fortunate to
have many articles published, my poetry win awards, and have a children’s book
published called “Home is Never Far Away.”
