Sharon Geltner received a Master’s in Digital Media from Lynn University in Boca Raton in 2015 and a BA in Journalism from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She has won recent, statewide journalism honors from the Florida Press Club and Society of Professional Journalists for feature writing, arts & culture criticism, commentary and reporting.
Geltner’s work has ranged from being a Mideast war correspondent to publishing the comic mystery and Palm Beach satire, Charity Bashed, which won an Amazon “Breakthrough Novel” Award and Publishers Weekly review. She was praised by the New York Post for her “Madoff in Palm Beach,” book manuscript and has written an historical novel set in Washington; Red, White & Blue Blood.  She is also at work on her play, Trust Fund Maybe (a funny play set in elite Island philanthropy circles.) Geltner judges theater for the Carbonell and Silver Palm Awards, reviews plays and writes annual performing arts guides covering three counties. She moderates authors’ panels for libraries and national writers conventions.
Geltner has been quoted in Forbes, New York Times, Washington Post, HuffPo and USA Today. She volunteers for historic  preservationist causes, including Art Deco Society of the Palm Beaches.
