Sondra Greenspan

Born and raised in rural New Jersey, got a BA at Pratt Institute in Painting and Graphic Design. I had a long rewarding career as a Graphic Designer/Brand Packaging specialist; including a 20 year stint as Senior Art Director for Pepsi-Cola Company.

During that time I belonged to the Hudson Valley Art Association, exhibited in various venues in Westchester, NY, and studied painting at SUNY Purchase, NY.

2015 was a transitional year for my artwork. A move with my husband from NY to Florida resulted in a new set of environmental influences that dramatically impacted the imagery and color temperature of my abstract paintings. Florida is visually bold, and my process is intuitive. The new tropical atmosphere surrounding me inspired new approaches to the use of local imagery, portraiture, composition, and movement of paint on the canvas. These are works of joy.
