Artist Bio

Under the nom de plume of ‘Anntidote’, Ann is a Malaysian-born, artist and writer working primarily with acrylic on canvas, high-fire stoneware ceramics and poetry. Her practice is rooted in color—bold, joyful, and instinctive—echoing the rich visual traditions of her cultural heritage.

Her artistic journey began in 2016, when she started sharing illustrations that accompanied the poems she wrote as a student at The University of Nottingham (Malaysia). The emotive blend of word and image quickly caught the attention of home and lifestyle publications, marking the beginning of her career as an artist.

Ann’s work is defined by her expressive use of color and deeply personal symbolism. Each piece—whether painted, sculpted, or written—offers a window into an inner world shaped by emotion, memory, and intuitive design. Together, these elements form the visual language of the Anntidote narrative: vibrant, contemplative, and rooted in the stories of her inner world.

She currently creates from her home studio in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
