(acrylics and watermedia) at numerous national workshops.

Sue became involved with watercolors in 1980 after a
15-year career in Physical Education and coaching. When she moved to Florida in
1979, she had the time and opportunity to take up watercolor painting as a
hobby. The hobby quickly became a new, full time career.

Sue is a studio and plein-aire artist, national workshop
instructor and national juror and judge for watercolor exhibitions. She showed
her work in Art Festivals in Florida from 1985 -2014. Now she still shows her
work in national watercolor exhibitions and teaches. Since
Sue began exhibiting her work in 1985, she has won over 200 state and national
awards, and has received a Florida State Individual Artist Fellowship grant for
painting.

For 25 years Sue had painted
large still-lifes showing strong light and with textural interest. Now she is
doing abstracted-textural work, close-up or mid-distant landscapes and some
figurative work; and plein-aire.

She was one of the jurors
for awards at American Watercolor Society in 2013.

She has recently
taught workshops in Montana, Arizona, Pennsylvania,

North
Carolina, Kentucky, Virginia, Florida, Alaska among a few.

She has a
DVD called Commanding Color from CCPV.

Sue belongs to Watercolor USA Honor
Society, Rocky Mountain National

Watermedia Honor Society, and is a signature
member, of the Florida Watercolor Society, Transparent Watercolor Society
of America, National Watercolor Society

and American Watercolor Society.
