Trish Kahn

Art is about self-discovery. What I enjoy most about the process, is that art has no boundaries, keeping me in the present while awakening my inner spirit. Creating is all about the journey that follows many pathways towards awareness. My most recent works connect with the nature of our choices in a fragile world. Each painting captures a moment in time which leads to a free-flowing pathway to my inner-self. As a colorist, I paint for the intrinsic joy of applying paint with the bold use of color, shape, line and movement. Quite often my paintings are intuitive and spontaneous which mirror emotions from within. That’s when I feel the spirit awaken.

The joy of seeing the images emerge, the surprising accidental marks, the layering and then subtracting what was there, inspires me to move forward into the unknown. The process gives me peace and gratitude.”
