Victor DiPilato III

Art is about experimentation, but not wild and untamed experimentation. It’s more of a scientific endeavor or a systematic process of discovery. Each painting is not only an experimental journey into the physical materials but it is also a study of how the finished product creates certain feelings within the observer. My work varies from abstract to surreal. Often, my abstract work has a textured look reminiscent of a mosaic or stained glass. The themes and meanings of my work explore the inner workings of the mind with inspirations from my studies as a Psychology student, and of course highly inspired by artists such as Dali and Escher.
