Artist Statement:  I follow the brush strokes, the visual representation of movement in them. Allowing emotion to guide, erase, paint over, in what I feel are more interesting directions.  I keep following those instincts to create work that come from exploration and letting go.  Abstract new-expressionism allows for freedom and movement in brush strokes and to appreciate the action of painting.

Bio: Wasso, a former professional performing artist, dancer and choreographer, now self taught painter, continues to explore movement and emotion through abstract new-expression. She aims to create fresh interpretations, dimensional and visually fun pieces. Her work comes from a deep connection and relationship with movement and freedom of expression.  Fun and bright, while also chaotic and imperfect.
