Sado: Tea Ceremony Workshop

This workshop teaches the basics of sado – The Way of Tea – necessary to understand the aesthetics of sado and to fully enjoy the tea ceremony itself.

Participants become familiar with how to participate as a guest, how to make a bowl of tea, and serve it in the style of the Omotesenke School. This one=day workshop is taught by Instructor Yoshiko Hardick.

Students will have a chance to sit in the tatami room in seiza position (with knees bent and folded beneath the thighs). It is not mandatory though.

Cost: $60.
