This visual art exhibition The Beginning & The End is an exploration of concepts, characters, and settings within an epic narrative novel by Gregory Dirr called The Big Book.

This experimental series of paintings and sculptures borrows from Romantic-era storytelling traditions, often-depicted fairytales, folklore, mythology, and nature. Through the use of dramatic lighting and dark palettes, the works depict whimsical characters while emphasizing atmosphere and scenery.
